3rd Test Day 3 PAK V NZ

Stumps report: New Zealand have opened up a lead of 286 runs over Pakistan as they reached 637-8 at stumps on the third day of their third Test in Sharjah.

Resuming at 488-3 after tea, the tourists sought to pile on the runs in the evening session, but Ross Taylor was back in the pavilion just a couple of overs after play got back underway.
Kane Williamson followed a few balls later having been unable to add to his total from the afternoon, leaving him eight runs short of a double century.
Rahat Ali, who claimed Williamson's wicket, continued to cause problems for the New Zealand batsmen, as Yasir Shah caught Corey Anderson (50) off an Ali delivery before Daniel Vettori was trapped lbw for 15.
The tourists showed some resilience late on though as Tim Southee hit a half-century, before being dismissed with the final ball of the day by Shah, while Mark Craig will resume on 34 tomorrow.

Tea Report: New Zealand have increased their lead over Pakistan, reaching 488-3 at tea on the third day of the third and final Test in Sharjah.

Kane Williamson edged closer to his double century as he sits on 192 not out.
The Kiwi batsman has added 57 runs since lunch and will be looking to match Brendon McCullum's feat of scoring a double century in this test.
Pakistan have only been able to take one wicket since lunch, with Younis Khan catching Ross Taylor at first slip off the bowling of Yasir Shah, who claimed his second wicket.
Pakistan lead the series after winning the first test in Abu Dhabi and drawing the second in Dubai.

Lunch Report: New Zealand reached 388-2 at lunch on the third day of the third and final Test in Sharjah.

The Kiwi's responded well to Pakistan's 351, with Kane Williamson not out on 135 and Ross Taylor in on 26 as New Zealand lead by 37 runs at the break.
Brendon McCullum notched an impressive 202 with 21 boundaries and 11 sixes before he was eventually bowled out by Yasir Shah.
McCullum will be more than happy with his contribution, however, having added a new second wicket record for New Zealand in Test cricket of 297 runs with Williamson.
Pakistan are ahead in the three-match series after winning the first Test in Abu Dhabi and drawing the second in Dubai.
