T20 Blast 29-7-16

North Group: Nottinghamshire, Northants, Yorkshire and Durham.

South Group: Gloucestershire, Glamorgan, Middlesex, Essex

DURHAM BEAT DERBYSHIRE BY 13 RUNS Derbyshire 180-9 v Durham 193-2

Durham have reached the T20 Blast quarter-finals!

Mark Stoneman and Calum MacLeod are the heroes for their side and Derbyshire, despite Neil Broom's half-century, just about fall short.

MATCH ABANDONED Glamorgan 184-5 v Essex

It all seems rather anti-climatic, but that's it - Essex have taken the fourth and final qualification place in the South Group.

Rain started at Chelmsford more than an hour ago and never relented, giving Essex the point they need to put them into the last eight.

You have to feel for Kent and in particular Surrey, who have put on a Jason Roy-inspired show at the Oval - but it will now count for nothing.

GLOS BT MIDDLESEX BY FOUR WICKETS Gloucestershire 162-6 v Middlesex 156-5

With the drama happening elsewhere it's a game which has somewhat gone under the radar, but Gloucestershire have officially won the South Group after beating fellow qualifiers Middlesex with three balls to spare.

Benny Howell shone with the ball for the victors with three wickets, while Jack Taylor smacked four sixes on his way to a noteworthy 44 to guide Gloucestershire to their tenth victory from 14 matches.

Somerset 98 all out v Hampshire 181-3 Hampshire beat Somerset by 83 runs

Well that's an early finish, and rather sums up Somerset's T20 Blast campaign this summer.

Liam Dawson takes a five wicket haul at the Rose Bowl, with only Jim Allenby (40) and Ben Green reaching double figures.

It all means Hampshire avoid the heartache of finishing bottom.

LANCASHIRE BEAT BIRMINGHAM BY 30 RUNS Lancashire 124-5 v Birmingham 94-8

Birmingham Bears are out of the competition. They will not be at Edgbaston for T20 Finals Day this year!

They needed 125 to win but failed to reach even 100.

Sam Hain was their top scorer on 28, the only man to score above 16.

YORKSHIRE BEAT NORTHANTS BY 14 RUNS Yorkshire 177-5 v Northants 163-7

Yorkshire are safely through to the quarter-finals. Northants, who had already qualified before tonight, will play at home in the last eight.

The hosts attempted some big boundaries in the final over, needing 18 from it, but lost two wickets.

But both sides look happy with the outcome.

NOTTS BEAT LEICS BY EIGHT WICKETS (D/L) Notts 146-2 v Leics 170-4

And our final match of the evening - and indeed of the group stage - is over!

Daniel Christian and Michael Lumb, you shall take a bow.

Christian's stats: Six sixes, four fours, 16 balls... and the joint 11th-fastest half-century in T20 history.

Lumb's stats: Four sixes, nine fours, 17 balls... and the joint 16th-fastest half-century in T20 history.

SURREY BEAT KENT BY 37 RUNS Kent 175-7 v Surrey 212-4

Kent didn't disgrace themselves by any means, but Surrey had two top-drawer openers in centurion Jason Roy and Aaron Finch.

After putting on such a show Surrey deserved at least a chance of going through, but unfortunately rain in Essex prevented that from becoming a possibility, meaning both teams are out of the competition.
